Short Update on Surgery

As I approached surgery (Oct 14, 2018) to get a biopsy from my prostate gland (enlarged, rapidly rising PSA), I had an overwhelming feeling a phase in my life has ended. (Phase 1: birth to 33 years old: single & being trained by God & man. Phase 2; 36 to 57 years old: married life & raising family -- God using my wife to help me to grow.) Phase 3 going forward: living life in the face of death -- death is inevitable, just don't know when it will come. Whatever, I just need to "Turn my eyes upon Jesus, look full in his wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of his glory and grace."

I am thankful to God for peace in approaching the operation. I am thankful for your prayers. The biopsies of prostate tissue -- all 16 -- indicated benign (not cancer) growth -- a great relief for my wife who was much more worried than myself. Thanks again for your prayers and thank God for his care.
