-study how God works in people's lives.
-from this we hope to learn more about God: 
     - what pleases and displeases him
     - how God leads people and how he might lead us.
-in previous weeks we have seen
	- God in creation
	- God working with a family (Abraham's family)
	- today we are looking how God works with a nation
  - concentrate on two men: Moses and David.
  - Moses...
  	- God gave him the law for the country.
  	- he put in writing the stories of creation, Abraham, in the form now we have the earlier stories
  -David is the 2nd king of the nation.
  	- he wrote many Psalms
  	- said to be a man after God's own heart.  
  	- God was pleased with his life
