A High-Resolution Time-to-Digital Converter

Time-to-digital converter(TDC) is usually used in measurement of distance. Due to the best choose of measuring is infrared rays. And the speed of infrared rays is very fast. So the resolution of TDC is researched in many persons. It consumed a lot of chip size and higher power consumption in traditional design.Although the TDC by CMOS processing had high resolution just now, the range of measurement is very narrow. So the way to design a high resolution TDC with wide measuring range is very important.

Performance Evaluation of Flyback and Half-Bridge Converter Topology

Several implementations of the flyback topology and half-bridge (HB) topology were considered. Specifically, the constant frequency PWM flyback converter, the variable frequency (VF) flyback converter, the VF flyback converter with a synchronous rectifie r (SR), asymmetrical HB converter, and resonant HB converter were evaluated. The comparative evaluation was performed with respect to the conversion efficiency, component stress, output-filter size, and complexity.

The Study of Phase Angle Effects to Wafer Process Windows using 193nm Mask

In this paper,we studied the effects of phase angle and transmission to the wafer process window of a 193nm EAPSM in a 300mm wafer manufacturing environment. We first fabricated a special multi phase EAPSM by a combination of extra Quartz etch and Mo si removal. We then used a high NA 193nm scanner and high contrast resist to perform the wafer level printing study. To fully understand the impact of phase-angle and transmission to wafer process windows.

ArF immersion lithography using TWINSCAN technology

My subject is to introduce about the semiconductor light application.Especially about the ArF immersion lithography using TWINSCAN technology.For 193nm lithography,water proves to be a suitable immersion fluid.ArF immersion offers the potential to extend conventional optical lithography to the 45nm node and potentially to the 32nm node.Early imaging data of such a system confirms a significant increase in focus window.

Color Filterless Large-Area LCD-TV using Field Sequential Color

A large-area full color display is provided , the low power RGB chips set of tri-color in one LED were used in the backlight module. By using the field sequential color method to control the system that the image frame rate was 180 Hz/sec.

A study of trobuleshooting of Electronic Paper Display ( EPD )

Electronic paper is a display technology designed to mimic the appearance of regular ink on paper. It integrate TFT ane E-ink technology to come true. But there are some troubles in manufacture and need be troubleshooted. In this presentation, I will intr oduce the structure of EPDs and compare with TFT-LCD. And then, I will give some examples to explain the problems and to propose some solutions. Finally, I will express my study direction.

The LED could be considered the ultimate general source of continuous light due to its high luminescence efficiency, quickly response and long lifetime. The only significant problem which previous prevented the widespread application of colored LEDs has b een the lack of high intensity LED. As blue is one of the three primary colors blue is required to reproduce the full color spectrum and pure white light. So, the development of mass production technology of LED is an important milestone of application.

Adaptive robust PID controller design based on a sliding mode for uncertain chaotic systems

A robust adaptive PID controller design motivated from the sliding mode control is proposed for a class of uncertain chaotic systems in this paper.By introducing a supervisory controller,the stability of the closed-loop PID control system under with the p lant uncertainty and external disturbance can be guaranteed.Finally, a well-known Duffing-Holmes chaotic system is used as an illustrative to show the effectiveness of the proposed robust adaptive PID controller.

Electrostatics Control For TFT-LCD Cell Process

This thesis is a study on the control and the performance design of Ionizers of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) systems.On the aspects of ESD control,grounding is most effective economically in eliminating static charge.The grounding of all the conductors c an solve the static charge problems.But for non-conductors or insulation of equipment and materials in TFT-LCD manufacture,static charge cannot be solved only using grounding.

Design an implementation of an omni-directional robot

This paper aims at the design and implementation of an omni-directional robot, which can translate and rotate in any direction simultaneously. The major components of the robot system include a PC, a DSP board, three DC motors with drivers and encoders, a nd a circuit board to transfer PWM signals to analog signals. To show the feasibility of the proposed system, experimental results are included for illustration.

We are entering a new wireless era with lots of wireless specification growing, such as GPRS and 3G. With the improved wireless technology, the content of wireless Internet also evolves. WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) Forum released the WAP 2.0 spe cification in 2001. SMS (Short Messaging Service) will evolve to MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service). MMS adds pictures and sounds in content and slide show in functionality that enables cell phones to exchange richer content with unlimited content format.

Modeling of Customer Retrial Phenomenon in Cellular Mobile Networks

In the planning of modern cellular mobile communication systems, the impact of customer behavior has to be carefully taken into account. In this paper, two models dealing with the call retrial phenomenon are presented. The first model considers a base sta tion with a finite customer population and repeated attempts. A Markov chain modeling is proposed, and an efficient recursive solution of the state probabilities is presented.

Fuzzy Color Histogram and Its Use in Color Image Retrieval

A conventional color histogram (CCH) considers neither the color similarity across different bins nor the color dissimilarity in the same bin. Therefore, it is sensitive to noisy interference such as illumination changes and quantization errors. This pape r presents a new color histogram representation, called fuzzy color histogram (FCH), by considering the color similarity of each pixel’s color associated to all the histogram bins through fuzzy-set membership function.

Automatic Cobb Angle Measurement System by Using Nuclear Medicine Whole Body Bone Scan

Scoliosis has traditionally been evaluated using standing posterior-anterior radiographs of the full spine to assess lateral curvature with the Cobb method. Here, we proposed a new automatic algorithm to measure Cobb angle by using nuclear medicine whole body bone scan images.

We have found a newly structure of blazed angle for the reflective-blazed-micrograting under rowland circle.
