The Annual Xiaotu Conference of Science and Engineering with Open Participation
(XTOP) is now accepting submissions in the fields of Science, Engineering and Medicine from
young professors and graduate students at the Masters or Ph.D. level.
Due to server problems, Submission deadline extended to January 5, 2009
The conference will be held at Yuan Ze University in Taoyuan, Taiwan
from January 15, 2009 to January 17, 2009
Those wishing to give research presentations at the conference should
submit electronically before December 26, 2008.
Contributed Papers : Required Information
A completed electronic submission will include the following:
- Title of the Talk: Short descriptive title of the talk avoiding the use of acronyms.
It should not exceed 75 characters including spaces.
- Presenting Author: Name of the author who will be giving the talk. The order is:
Given name followed by family name with your name in Chinese characters in brackets.
i.e. Jonathon David White(白小明).
- Supervisor: Name of your Master's or Ph.D supervisor.
i.e. Wunshain Fann (范文祥).
- Other Authors: Names of others who have contributed to this research such as fellow
students in your research group. Do not include your name or that of your supervisor.
- Student Number: The student number of the presenting author (optional)
- Affiliation: Name and location of the University of which you are a student. i.e.
Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Yuan Ze University, Taoyuan 320 Taiwan
- Email: Your Email address i.e. jonathon@xiaotu.ca
- Subject Code: Authors are asked to indicate which of several broad categories
that best describes their paper by choosing from one of the Subject codes listed.
- Abstract: This abstract should be a brief summary of the paper's topic. The
length is limited to approximately 100 words (<510 characters including spaces).
At the end of the submission form there are a few questions asking...
- If you are willing to act as a chairperson for a session. (Those selected to chair a session will be given training.
- If you wish a native English speaker provide you with feedback on the quality of your talk.
- If you need your talk scheduled outside of regular working hours (i.e. you are a parttime student.)
- If you wish to receive a free T-shirt, please specify your size.
Additional Information
All instructions for preparation of the abstract and summary must be strictly followed. Authors are required to obtain appropriate approval
to present their work at this conferences. Each conference participant may present a maximum of 1 paper. Incorrect
or inappropriate submissions may be rejected by the conference organizing committee.
