The application of type-2 fuzzy neural network combine with support vector machines
Chung Ta Li (李崇達) , C. H. LEE(李慶鴻)
Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Yuan Ze University.
We combine the type-2 fuzzy neural network and support vector machines to develop a two phase classify scheme. It is developed by several SVM and a type-2 fuzzy inference system inference in cascade structure. In order to reduce the sensitivity, the type- 2 FNN system combines the results of support vector machines in different kernel functions which are in phase 1 probably expected to outperform each of its composing single classifiers because different classifiers might complement each other well.

Adaptive Fuzzy Control of a Class of Nonlinear Systems
Ming-Hung Chou(周明鴻) , Chih-Hui Chiu(邱智輝)
Dept. of Electrical Engineering,Yuan-Ze University
Design of controllers for uncertain systems is inherently paradoxical. Adaptive control approaches claim to adapt system parameters against uncertainties. Alternatively, robust control methodologies claim to ensure system stability against uncertainties. In this paper, we propose a two-mode adaptive fuzzy controller with approximation error estimator. Finally, simulation studies of an inverted pendulum system demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed controller.

An adaptive fuzzy sliding-mode control design method is proposed for a class of serial-link robot arms (PUMA-560). The proposed adaptive fuzzy sliding-mode control system is comprised of a fuzzy controller and a compensation controller. The fuzzy controll er is the main tracking controller, which is used to approximate an ideal computational controller. The compensation controller is designed to compensate for the difference between the ideal computational controller and the fuzzy controller.

This paper presents a behavior classification system used to analyze human movements and directly. If a person is observed from other views, his appearances will change significantly. To freely recognize his behaviors, traditional methods tend to adopt 3- D data for behavior modeling and analysis. However, its inherent correspondence process is very time-consuming. To tackle this problem, we proposes a novel human representation scheme for recognizing human behaviors from any views.

Dept. of Physics, FuJen Catholic University
The correlation between morphology and micro-photoluminescence (PL) in polymer blends of MEH-PPV and PS is studied with a house-assembled scanning fiber probe system. Distinct classes of phase separation were observed by AFM. The film with smaller domain size incidentally correlates with the brightest PL signal observed. Our results suggest that the interfacial structure of phase separated polymer blends greatly affect its optical property. Fast disappearance of inter-chain excitations is also observed.

The polycarbonate (PC) substrate is well known for its poor barrier properties, this improvement can be achieved by applying a barrier layer on the inner side of ITO coated. This is ascribed to better properties of the ITO layer when sputtered onto SiO2. Adhesion and sheet resistance was preliminary estimated.

Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering, Yuan Ze University
The enhancement of light extraction efficiency of InGaN-based micro-hole array light emitting diode (LED) have been fabricated by photoelectrochemical (PEC) wet etching in KOH solution. PEC wet etching will cause the roughened of exposed surface and fur ther increase the light escape probability. The light output power of the 5 min PEC etched micro-hole array LED is greater than the conventional broad area LED about 51% and dynamic resistance is almost the same.

Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Yuan Ze University, Taoyuan 320 Taiwan
Nanostructured indium nitride (InN) films have been prepared on the c-plane sapphire substrate by a plasma-assisted metal–organic molecular beam epitaxy (PA-MOMBE) system. A pronounced two-dimensional growth mode was observed at a growth tempera ture of 500 ?C, and these films showed high orientation along the c-plane. As the growth temperature reached 700 ?C, (InN) 1D nanostructures were formed and exhibited randomly oriented crystalline nature.

Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Yuan Ze University, Taoyuan 320 Taiwan
Al and Al alloys are very important conducting materials for Active-matrix liquid crystal display. To find a low resistivity and a high thermal stability this can suppress hillocks formation material in gate metal. The pure Al, and AlNiLa were covered wit h Mo and by dc magnet scan sputtering formed the thin film. The residual gas analysis was monitored the chamber. The residual gas N2 was also an important factor for mass production.

Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Yuan Ze University, Taoyuan 320 Taiwan
The architecture that it is proposed in image contrast improves upon this undesirable effect (light leakage at low grey levels in LCD TV) by adjusting the backlight based on the video luminance data variance accordingly in each frame. This has the benefic ial effect of increasing the dynamic contrast (the ratio of the maximum brightness to minimum brightness of a particular field or frame) of the display.

This experimental can let TFT-LCD resolution uniformity will be improvement. The process use DNS SK1500 G6 equipment and Offset the pre bake temperature, Using the method is adjust pre bake lift pin altitude, this result show us when pre bake plate temper ature uniformity was improved TFT-LCD resolution uniformity was improved too. If using this method TFT-LCD resolution uniformity will draws close 0, this means process limit will more large In the future.

Field Sequential Color LCD-TV Using Multi-Area Control Algorithm
Alex Chen (陳煌明) , Yong Sheng Chen (陳永盛)
Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Yuan Ze University, Taoyuan 320 Taiwan
A new multi-area control algorithm was developed for color filter-less LCD display and was verified on 32” LCD-TV and 15.4” notebook platforms. As there is no color filter on the panel, the RGB LED must be used as the backlight source. Compared to the sta ndard field sequential color algorithm, the multi-area control algorithm increases the brightness and decreases the demand for the liquid crystal response time.

Dept. of Electro-Optical Engineering, Yuan Ze University, Taoyuan 320 Taiwan
A new technique for remote sensing of transmittance based on the radiative transfer equation is developed. The ALOS PRISM has three independent optical systems for viewing nadir, forward and backward producing a stereoscopic image. It could be used to est imate the transmittance according to the developed radiative transfer equation. Results from different surface covers showed that the higher the land cover surface, the better the derived transmittance accuracy.

Dopant segregation with dual workfunction gate for Schottky-Barrier MOSFETS
Yi Chun Chou(周怡君) , Chun-Hsing Shih(施君興)
Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Yuan Ze University, Taoyuan 320 Taiwan
The dopant segregated layer can modify the Schottky barrier to suppress ambipolar conduction and enhance on-state driving current. The characteristics on segregation layer are simulated in the DS-SBMOS by using the two-dimensional device simulations. Howe ver, degradations of DS-SBMOS in ambipolar conduction are observed as oxide become thinner and halo is used for scaling. Dual workfunction gate (DWG) structure can improve DS-SBMOS behavior by vertical gate engineering when size scaling.

This work presents a novel schottky barrier flash memory cell with source-side injection programming. The unique schottky barrier at source-side interface creates the amount of hot electrons to provide high injection efficiency without compromising gate a nd drain bias. We find the best solution to provide a high program speed and operate for this device, which can be a optimization of the scaling design of schottky barrier flash cell in the future.

If there is hotness on skin , then it will have more blood than normal skin . Usually , there is a fixed volume of blood in the blood , and the blood is warm . If I add hotness to the skin , then more blood go into the skin . I test it on a experiment tha t a warm device is set to the skin . I can get its data from a computer which receives the upper data . Therefore , I can prove my hypothesis is right .
