-Rudy Blazek was born in Czechoslovakia, completed his Ph.D. research in America where he was recruited by a Taiwanese-Canadian graduate student (now his wife) to come to Taiwan. He is now a Professor in the Department of Telecommunications Engineering at Yuan Ze University.
Joseph Arul was born in India, completed his Ph.D. research at the University of Alabama in America before coming to Taiwan to teach at Fu Jen University.

Single-Inductor Dual-Output SIDO DC-DC Converters for Minimized Cross Regulation and High Efficiency

Classification using self-organizing CMAC

Tunable Power Splitter Based on Wide-Band Fiber Coupler Immersed

We experimentally demonstrate a tunable power splitter based on a conventional wide-band fiber coupler immersed into a Cargille oil. Applying the ther mo-optic effect of the external oil the coupling ratio of the proposed power splitter can be adjusted from 3 to 45 percent.

Characterization of InN Films Grown on sapphire by MOMBE

We report the studies on the hetero-epitaxial growth of wurtzite InN thin films on oxide buffer layer by RF-MOMBE system. The results reveal the oxide thin film could be a suitable buffer layer for the growth of InN on sapphire wafer.

GaN surface nanostructure research

voltage regulator system with dynamic bandwidth boosting used in RFID system sensor

This paper describes a passive RFID front-end design for RFID sensors which supports UHF 915 MHz carrier frequency. A regulator system regulates the supply voltage which is generated from the rectifier close to the voltage reference. The regulator is functional with just 110 nA current.

Optoelectronic correlator based on CIELAB model and Image Encoding Technique

Geant4 Simulation for crystals

muon flux measurement using cosmic ray muon detector

We used the muon detector to measure the muon fluxes. The muon fluxes decreased while the angle between the scintillator plane and the horiz ontal line increased. The behaivor were similar to the square of the cosine function.

Grating Design

This simulation is used to collimate lights. At first, we need to build a parabolic mirror to collimate lights and then reflect to our grating. It is used to increase the intense of light so that we could receive and analyze the tiny light source.

Position of CCD on a spectrometer

Simulation characteristics analysis of LDMOSFET

Color pattern recognition with Mach-Zehnder joint transform based on CIELuv color space

Efficient Phosphorescent White OLEDs with High Color Rendering Capability

FPGA implementation of a multithreaded architecture using register context

This is a new architecture explored on FPGA level which deviates from current trend of building complex hardware to exploit Instructional Level Parallelism ILP.This research focuses on an efficient way of storing of data into the thread register context directly as opposed to frame memory.
